This case study will follow a complete design outline of the 6.2 Concept FG football to be launched for SS 2006. The first public posted images will shown exclusively on this blog (thanks to my inside access.

At hummel International, project timelines are typically much shorter than they would be in other large footwear companies (Nike, Adidas, etc.- correct me Nike people if I am wrong). The entire project from brief to time to market will total less than 17 months (by February 2006).

With a more vertically integrated design and development department (including myself) and closer connections to sales and marketing, we are able to more quickly react to the market and not get tied up in layers of heirarchy and middle management. One of the great things about working for a smaller brand! Freedom!
