4.2 Concept FGC > sneak peak

FC Barcelona will be in Aarhus, Denmark (home of hummel International) this week for training and to play a friendly match against Superliga team AGF, Aarhus.

AGF is a hummel sponsored team and all players will be wearing hummel boots, with some select players to be premiering the new 2006 4.2 and 6.2 Concept.

First public pics of the new 4.2 Concept FGC now posted here!

Follow the Read More link below for more pics and info on the new boots!

The 4.2 Concept FGC is a new boot for 2006 that combines everything that is great about a classic boot (natural leather, fit, style) with the latest technology (design, performance, engineering).

I will be soon putting together a much more in depth feature on the 4.2 Concept, but just wanted to share with you some pics and features of this great upcoming product.

Comments are welcome!

Watch this space for more info and pics of the AGF-FCB game later this week.

I like the white/light brown version. Is something similar going to be available as 'lifestyle' or as an indoor version?

By the way; very interesting blog!

Thanks for the comments!

There are two indoor versions, one of which is the same white/tan color. Asd well, there is a lifestyle version inspired by the 4.2 on a street/turf type outsole that will be released for SS 2006 in select shops.

I just had a quick question, how durable is the boot regarding the outsole's (stud plate) attachement to the upper? It looks like it is only cemented; which in turn looks like it could come apart easily.

Other than that, it is a beautiful and classic boot which appears to be high performing along with it's good looks. I am planning on purchasing a pair.

Great blog, it's refreshing to see a boot maker be so revealing of his (its) production and design process. It is a testament to your confidence in your products.

In addition to cementing the outsole to the upper there are also two rivets in the forefoot to help keep the outsole on. This is normal construction for football shoes.

As well, of course care must be taken in the producion of the boots, properly buffing the upper material and applying cement to both the outsole and the upper before assembly and pressing the outsole on.

Check the Production review pics and series for more info about this process.

glad you like the boots!

One more quick question, I know this question is a little out of place; however, is a size 10 US equivalent to a size 44 EUR in the 4.2 Concept FG?

size 10Us would normally be a 43EUR.
